The men and women of Shiel Sexton Company are creating awareness, raising money and growing mustaches for the ALS Association through the month of November. ALS or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a debilitating illness with varied causes characterized by rapidly progressive weakness, muscle atrophy and fasciculations (muscle twitches), muscle spasticity, difficulty speaking, difficulty swallowing and difficulty breathing. ALS is the most common of the MNDs (motor neuron diseases).

SSC is creating awareness in and around the company by growing mustaches and participating in “No Shave November,” as well as donating to the cause. The goal is to raise over $1,000 by November 22nd, in addition to each person growing a strikingly good looking mustache.

A special thanks to Jason Gordon for organizing this awareness campaign! For more information on this cause or how to donate, please contact Jason at jgordon@shielsexton.com. All donations are tax deductible and will go directly to the ALS Association.
