HSE FISHERS-2 FISHERS HSE-2

On Tuesday, November 5, 2013 ground breakings for future academies at both Hamilton Southeastern High School and Fishers High School were held. Special guest and speaker, Teresa Lubbers, Commissioner of Higher Education, was on hand to help kick start these exciting projects.

This is the first step towards construction of $86 million worth of renovations/additions to both senior academies. Shiel Sexton and The Skillman Corporation have teamed to deliver these 21st century learning environments. The student capacity at both schools will increase significantly. Senior academy additions/renovations will provide flexible and adaptable learning environments, create instructional settings where more AP and dual-credit courses can be offered, offer more collaborative and study space for students and create a space that gives seniors a more purposeful final year. The PE and performing arts additions/renovations will expand extracurricular offerings for all students.

Construction completion at both locations is expected in July of 2015.
