The City of Carmel celebrated its newest amenity with the topping out ceremony for the highly anticipated Hotel Carmichael. Before the last steel beam was hoisted into place, attendees gathered around to sign their name, leaving a permanent mark in the history of Carmel’s first boutique hotel. Mayor Brainard spoke alongside Pedcor Companies CEO/President Bruce Cordingley, and President of the Carmel Redevelopment Commission Bill Hammer.

Mayor Brainard explained, “This new hotel will serve not just the needs of our city center’s small businesses, but it will help with the influx of guests coming to the city. It will be a beautiful place to show off our city that will hopefully become our city’s living room.”

Construction of Hotel Carmichael is an important step in the continued development of downtown Carmel. Operating under the Marriott Autograph Collection series, the hotel will be a stunning, one-of-a-kind addition to the city. Each hotel blends perfectly into its surroundings with its individualized décor plan stylized by the world’s top designers.

Conveniently nestled behind the Palladium and next to the Monon Trail, guests are steps away from many popular Carmel attractions. Whether visitors plan to attend one of the dozens of events that Carmel City Center hosts year-round or simply need a place to rest their head during a business trip, Hotel Carmichael offers an experience unlike any other.

The Hotel Carmichael perfectly aligns with the City’s goal for continued community growth, and highlights the walkability, accessibility, and safety of Carmel. Shiel Sexton is excited to continue its relationship with the City of Carmel in delivering another architectural masterpiece.
