Shiel Sexton launched its annual United Way Experience on October 31st with a spooky kickoff. All Shiel Sexton employees were invited to a Halloween-themed luncheon and United Way presentation to learn how their financial contributions, advocacy, and volunteerism help to impact the lives of those in our community.

In Indianapolis, speakers included Indianapolis Power & Light president and CEO Rafael Sanchez, Indy RTV 6 News Team Reporter Rafael Sanchez, and April Arthur from United Way of Central Indiana, who gave inspirational testimonies to the important work United Way agencies perform in the community. Along with the presentation, Indy employees also participated in a costume contest, United Way themed prize raffle, and those who volunteered their time throughout the past year were entered into a raffle for two Indianapolis Colts tickets.

Shiel Sexton’s Charlotte office enjoyed a luncheon hosted by a representative from United Way of Central Carolinas. Employees wore their favorite sports team’s gear to get entered into a raffle for a chance to win a Carolina Panthers beanie. The Carolinas region will also be holding a penny wars for the month of November to support local United Way agencies.

United Way is a community pillar to which Shiel Sexton employees dedicate much of their time and resources. The organization focuses on improving our communities in the areas of education, income, health, and basic needs. Shiel Sexton is excited to partner with United Way for the 25th year to raise money and awareness for United Way and the agencies they support.
