For the past two years, Shiel Sexton’s Women’s Networking Group has met quarterly (whether in-person or virtual) to explore a variety of topics geared towards personal and professional development. This week, the group had a unique opportunity to spend quality time with three women from the Pacer organization as they shared their professional journey and answered questions from the crowd.

The panelists included:

  • Mel Raines – Mel is in her sixth season with Pacers Sports & Entertainment as Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications, Community Engagement and Facility Operations as well as President of the 2024 NBA All-Star Local Organizing Committee.
  • Lori Miser – Lori is the Vice President of Engineering and Construction with Pacers Sports and Entertainment and she leads the team that oversees the maintenance and renovations of the Pacers campus including Bankers Life Fieldhouse, the St Vincent Practice Facility and the PSE building.
  • Melody Park – Melody brings experience as the former Director of Sustainability and Chief Engineer for the City of Indianapolis. As the Owners Representative for Pacers Renovation Project, Melody holds over 25 years of experience in project management, engineering, and large-scale construction projects. Before joining the City of Indianapolis, Melody served as Vice President/Principal at RW Armstrong, where she managed large–scale projects, including the Indianapolis Cultural Trail construction. She was responsible for supervising the schedule, budget, public outreach, design specifications, and land acquisition for the $62 million projects.

Thank you to these inspiring women for sharing stories, advice, and laughs!
