Early last year, White Lodging Services selected Shiel Sexton to conduct a massive renovation on the Marriott Downtown Indianapolis, located adjacent to the Indiana Convention Center.

The extensive $25 million renovation of the 19-story Marriott in included all 622 guest rooms, the lobby, meeting spaces, and other common spaces. The entire interior of the hotel was gutted, allowing for an increase in the guest room count. The renovation modernized the hotel space and reconceptualized the eateries that occupied the outer edges of the hotel. The hotel boasts a sleek design, with a focus on unique décor.

In addition to the overhaul, Conner’s Kitchen and Bar was constructed for the  convenience of guests. The full-service restaurant features two bars, a large dining area, private booths, and an outdoor patio complete with gas fireplaces.

This bustling hotel accommodates anywhere from 500 to 1,200 people each week as visitors arrive for business, conventions, and vacations. The renovation project was completed in an occupied hotel. The amount of traffic solidified the fact that the project team had to take the extra step in safety measures to minimize disruption for the guests.

Shiel Sexton is proud to have finished this project three weeks ahead early for White Lodging. Check out this video to see the new look!
