The newest class of Outstanding Craftsperson Awards was recently crowned, as The Coalition for Construction Safety (CCS) held their 24th annual Anniversary and Awards Celebration in late April. This year, our safety department chose to honor 14-year Shiel Sexton veteran Efrain Ramirez-Perez.

Efrain Ramirez-Perez began his career in Shiel Sexton’s cabinet shop in 2003. He quickly moved to the field, where he has worked as a carpenter since 2006.

“It was amazing to find out that I won,” said Ramirez-Perez. “It’s always good to be recognized, especially from a company like Shiel Sexton with around 300 employees.”

“To me, the gifts don’t matter,” Ramirez-Perez continued, “It’s the title.” In addition to the recognition, winners also received a CCS-logoed jacket and invitation to an Indianapolis Indians game.

Among Ramirez-Perez’s most notable Shiel Sexton projects are Ironworks at Keystone Village, The Alexander, and Hyatt Place in Bloomington. Shiel Sexton appreciates you, Efrain Ramirez Perez, for continuously living our brand and embodying what it means to Expect More!
