Harley-Davidson of Indianapolis started the engine on the construction of their Fishers retail location with a rockin’ groundbreaking ceremony on March 29, 2017. Bikers from all over the greater Indianapolis area rode in to support co-owners Donna and David Dellen as they embark upon a 10-month construction journey.

Donna Dellen began the presentation by thanking everyone who helped Harley-Davidson of Indianapolis reach the point where they were able to build. Mayor Scott Fadness gave brief remarks, welcoming the retailer to Fishers and adding that the city will be, “a little bit more cool,” once the store is complete. David Dellen closed by sharing the company’s history and their excitement for the future. Biker guests wrapped up the event with a ride before heading back to the current Harley-Davidson of Indianapolis, located on 96th Street and Keystone, for a celebratory luncheon.

Set to open its doors in January 2018, the new store will provide an immersive experience for Harley-Davidson fans. Featuring an open-concept showroom, the building’s exterior and interior will consist of industrial wood-and-brick finishes. A café and maintenance garage will provide an area for motorcycle enthusiasts to connect with one another. The second floor will include open space for the Indianapolis H.O.G chapter meetings and other events.

David Dellen said in his speech that the store is not solely for his family, but for all Harley-Davidson fans. Shiel Sexton is very proud to be a part of building Harley-Davidson of Indianapolis’ new home.
