Construction Underway at Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience
Construction of the Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis kicked-off last month with an exciting groundbreaking ceremony. A variety of local celebrities made an appearance at the event including The Children’s Museum mascot, Rex, his friends Freddy Fever, Boomer, Blue, and Nitro, as well as some of the Colts and Pacers cheerleaders.
The new outdoor health and fitness experience will offer a variety of family-friendly activities meant to engage children of all ages and promote an active lifestyle. The 7.5-acre Riley Children’s Sports Legends Experience will feature:
- an Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever Basketball Experience
- a Pete and Alice Dye-designed Golf Experience presented by Henry and Christine Camferdam
- Wiese Field donated by Elizabeth Bracken Wiese and J. Frederic Wiese Jr
- the Indianapolis Colts Football Experience
- Jane and Steve Marmon Running Experience
- Indy Fuel Hockey Experience
- Cory SerVaas Family Fitness Path
- Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s Pedal Car Racetrack
