Mike joined Shiel Sexton in 1985 and worked his way through project management, account management and business development before leading operations. As Chairman and CEO, Mike is responsible for Shiel Sexton’s overall vision, strategy, and financial soundness. Mike volunteers his time across multiple community organizations including United Way of Central Indiana, Providence Cristo Rey High School, Indianapolis Public Safety Foundation (IPSF), Marian University, Indiana Sports Corp., and the Governor's Residence Commission, among others.
Back to topKevin Hunt began his career at Shiel Sexton in 1989, working through project management, estimating and marketing. As President and Chief Operating Officer, Kevin is responsible for the management of operations and implementation of corporate strategies. He is involved in several organizations including Forum Credit Union as chairman of the board, Indiana Construction Roundtable as board member, and Indy Chamber as board member and Finance Committee member. Kevin enjoys being involved in various sports through coaching, participating, and as a spectator.
Back to topAfter spending over 25 years in a variety of accounting and finance positions both in public accounting and with a major insurance corporation, Dan joined Shiel Sexton as CFO in 2007. Dan is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of accounting, finance and information technology efforts. Dan helped to led Shiel Sexton through an ownership transition in 2012 to its current status as a 100% Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Dan serves on the finance committee of the Indiana Sports Corp. He and his wife, Marla, have five children and enjoy volunteer time together at Gennesaret and are active members of Pilgrim Lutheran Church.

With 30 years of experience in construction law and business litigation, her legal background has been a valuable asset to Shiel Sexton. Kris has served on several boards including the Methodist Health Foundation, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Indianapolis 500 Festival, Ruth Lilly Health Education Center, and the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series. Kris was also instrumental in assisting Shiel Sexton's transformation into an ESOP company. Kris is a frequent speaker on topics related to construction law and in-house counsel issues. In her down time, Kris enjoys golf and cooking.

As Executive Vice President of Real Estate, Dennis strategically develops and grows the development services of Shiel Sexton. His well-respected approach of putting the client’s needs priority blends perfectly with our Expect More belief at Shiel Sexton. Dedicated to improving the Indianapolis community, Dennis contributes his time to many organizations including Vice Chair of Indiana Sports Corporation, Chair of the Horizon League Basketball Tournament Local Organizing Committee, Board Member of the 2022 Indy College Football Playoff, and the Butler University Lacy School of Business Dean’s Advisory Council.
John joined Shiel Sexton in 2003. As Vice President of Preconstruction, he oversees project planning and development, develops new clientele and ensures the company is aligned with the long term strategic plan. John is active in the community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Penrod Society, Indianapolis Cultural Trail Board, and the St. Roch Catholic School Commission. John enjoys running and coaching his son’s football and wrestling teams at St. Roch Catholic School.

As Vice President of Operations, Frank’s responsibilities include planning, organizing and directing all aspects of construction operations from preconstruction through closeout. He is comprehensive and thorough at managing the details of the project from start to finish and is masterful at maintaining accountability among the project team members. His expert leadership guides the project to a successful conclusion at every turn. Frank is involved in serving his church and other community organizations. He is known around the office as a lover of animals and big fan of “Take your Dog to Work” day. Frank enjoys an active lifestyle that includes swimming, biking and running.

He is active with Joy’s House, a not-for-profit organization that provides physical, mental and financial relief for families caring for a loved one. In his downtime, Chuck enjoys golfing and gardening.

Heather earned her Bachelor of Science from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in Management & Marketing and her Master of Science in Human Resources Development from Villanova University.
