Shiel Sexton is once again honored to make the prestigious Top 400 Contractors in the nation landing at #252 on the list, as ranked by Engineering News-Record (ENR).  Up 64 spots from its 2013 rank, Shiel Sexton is one of many contractors that saw an increase in revenue.  With $245 million in reported revenue, Shiel Sexton also contributed $9 million to the international construction industry.   ENR reports that as a whole, the Top 400 contractors generated $331.94 billion in contracting revenue in 2014, and over 60% of the firms had increased revenue over the past year.

Locally, the Charlotte Business Journal also released its list of Top 25 contractors in Charlotte.  Shiel Sexton rounded out the list at #22 and as a feature of the survey Ben Wilhelm, President of the Carolinas Regional Office, shared his thoughts on a historic building he wished he could have constructed.

“The Roman Colosseum in Rome,” claimed Wilhelm.  “It’s an amazing and iconic structure that still influences how we experience large sporting and entertainment events over 2,000 years after its construction.  Its current restoration is important to Western culture; and it is painstakingly difficult work, so I would love to be involved with it.”
