Shiel Sexton welcomes Matthew Barnes as Vice President of Operations at Shiel Sexton’s Indianapolis headquarters.

Matt’s 29 years of experience managing national accounts for one of the nation’s largest construction companies will be a very valuable addition to Shiel Sexton as it continues its rapid growth in the Midwest and Southeast.

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Matt’s career began with Shiel Sexton nearly 27 years ago. He returns with a personal portfolio of local and national projects, including the United Airlines maintenance facility, Indiana Convention Center expansion, New Castle Correctional Facility Annex, Fort Benjamin Harrison Armed Forces Reserve Center, Camp Atterbury Barracks and Dining Hall, Atlanta’s new $1.2 billion terminal at Hartsfield Jackson Airport, San Antonio’s $785 million military medical center, and Denver’s $38 million public transit center and hotel.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering from Purdue University, is a DBIA Designated Design-Build Professional, and is certified as a LEED® Accredited Professional. His local industry involvement includes memberships with American Society of Healthcare Engineering, American Correctional Association, American Society of Airport Executives, and Plan 2020 (the Bicentennial Plan for Indianapolis and Marion County).
