Fire Station No. 7 & Headquarters
Indianapolis Fire Department
Shiel Sexton Real Estate provided turnkey development services to the Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) and City of Indianapolis for these two projects. The scope included converting a former Red Cross facility into the IFD headquarters, as well as building a new three-bay, full-response fire station on a tight urban site.
The new Station 7 included living and sleeping quarters, workout facility, locker rooms and modern technology systems for communication and training. Shiel Sexton handled the land acquisition, zoning, neighborhood approvals, entitlements and complete design-build services to deliver the project for IFD and the City of Indianapolis.
