Shiel Sexton 2020 Highlights

Like many companies, Shiel Sexton faced a fair number of challenges in 2020. However, we want to reflect on some positive highlights that came out of this difficult year as we prepare to enter 2021.

Shiel Sexton continued to complete exciting projects around the Midwest and Southeast, including:

• Purdue Memorial Union Hotel
• High Alpha Headquarters
• White River State Park Phase Two
• Hotel Carmichael
• The Ardmore
• American Flow Control
• Watercrest Senior Living Fort Mill
• Davita Dialysis
• Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library

Though we were not able to gather in the traditional manner after the first quarter of 2020, we still welcomed new faces to the company and celebrated our culture through virtual and socially distant events. Notable memories include:

• 18 interns joined our jobsite and offices this year
• Donation drives in both of our offices benefiting local organizations for the annual Beyond the Build week
• The State of the Company ceremony
• Women’s networking events, like the Bottleworks District Tour in March to celebrate Women in Construction week

This year was an exercise in flexibility, but Shiel Sexton continued to celebrate and focus on the foundation of the company and our hard-working employees.
