On Tuesday, November 17, 2015, the ribbons were cut on the new Simon Youth Academy at Circle Centre Mall in downtown Indianapolis, IN.

Simon Youth Academy is an alternative high school focused on helping students at risk of dropping out of high school earn a high school diploma on a fast track schedule.  Formed through a partnership between Simon Youth Foundation (SYF) and Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS), the academy is located on the fourth floor of Circle Centre Mall.

Shiel Sexton completed the 5,000 SF open concept floor plan and interior buildout.  The classrooms are designed to allow students to work at their own pace completing two classes over a 4.5 week period.  Overall the school will house 60 students and eight staff members, five of which are IPS teachers.  There are 25 Simon Youth Academies across the county that collectively share a successful 90% graduation rate.

Shiel Sexton is proud to be part of this progressive educational environment.  To learn more about Simon Youth Academies visit their website, or read the guest blog post by Teresa James-Robinson, Coordinator for Simon Youth Academy at Circle Centre, expressing her excitement about the new academy.Ribbon-Cutting-1-CC-Grand-Opening-Nov.-17-2015-midgu384gwq6kbkgbx972szjnn597bn3xd03dzwkhk
