2016 has been a very exciting and eventful year for the Shiel Sexton Interiors Division as well as many of our valued clients who will be starting off the New Year in freshly renovated office space.

The colors, finishes and structural elements of a workplace tell a story. Interiors are introductions – they should reflect the organization’s values, and every detail is critical. This year, Shiel Sexton was proud to partner with Bradley and Montgomery, Flaherty & Collins Properties, Walther Cancer Foundation, and Golars as a trusted partner in the transformation of their new office space.

On the heels of the IPL Electric Building renovation, which opened up tenant space at 1 Monument Circle, Shiel Sexton’s IPL team quickly transitioned efforts to the building’s second floor for a 17,000 SF buildout for Bradley and Montgomery. Completed in late November, this edgy creative design space has a unique, industrial feel complete with exposed beams, a polished concrete floor, and rustic fixtures. The open concept layout allows agency employees to easily collaborate in a comfortable workspace while overlooking the bustle of Monument Circle.

Just one block northeast from Bradley and Montgomery, Shiel Sexton worked simultaneously inside the Regions Tower to build out a new headquarters for Flaherty & Collins Properties, one of the Midwest’s largest property developers. This 24,000 SF renovation of the 29th and 30th floors, completed this month, required careful logistics planning, close coordination of material handling and deliveries, as well as off-peak work hours to mitigate the challenges of working inside an occupied high-rise tower. The class A office space features high-end finishes and a glass staircase that serves as a monumental centerpiece for the new headquarters.

Walther Cancer Foundation, whose mission is to strengthen cancer research institutions in Indiana, is enjoying their newly remodeled office on the city’s Northside. Located inside an existing building at 93rd and Meridian, the renovation and expansion provided Walther with additional office space as well as a new conference room with built-in audio-visual technology for foundation board meetings. Visitors are greeted by an expanded entry and reception area with rich, wood finishes and comfortable seating. Existing offices were also remodeled and every part of the space was touched in some way during this occupied renovation.

Employees of Golars, one of Indianapolis’ largest environmental consulting firms, are enjoying their new headquarters in Noblesville, Indiana, just north of the City. Shiel Sexton transformed an existing stand-alone restaurant into this modern corporate office, which features ergonomic sit-to-stand desks at every workstation, a large kitchen complete with a touchless water bottle filling station, and partitionable large group meeting space. An executive conference room walled with frosted glass immediately greets visitors with the Golars brand, which is extended throughout the building with vibrant wall colors and silver accents, creating a clean and open feel.

Shiel Sexton is honored to share in the excitement with these companies as they start the New Year in their new office space. We understand the importance of their investments and appreciate the trust they have placed in us to help transform their workplaces.
