Home2 Suites South Bend/Mishawaka held their grand opening ceremony at the beginning of August, and the Shiel Sexton project team has moved off of the site after 11 months of construction. The four-story, 126-key extended stay will be convenient to the South Bend area’s visitors, especially with Notre Dame’s football 2017 season in play. With the completion of the hotel, White Lodging Services Corporation’s Russ Louderback had nothing but appreciation for the Shiel Sexton project team.

“Not only was it a quality opening but probably the fastest cycle time we have had considering the structure type and height of building,” says White Lodging Services Corporation Russ Louderback.

The project was completed ahead of schedule thanks to White Lodging Corporation’s Project Manager, John Bryant, and the Shiel Sexton team, including: Brian McCormick (Senior Project Manager), Tony Eisenhut (General Superintendent), Anthony Saucerman (Superintendent), and Kyle Petre (Assistant Project Manager).

“This project was open in 11 months to the day – very fast and very responsive,” says Louderback. Saucerman credits the quick turnaround to strong coordination with the subcontractors and ensuring that construction materials were on site when needed.

Congratulations to White Lodging Services Corporation as they begin to host guests at Home2 Suites Mishawaka/South Bend, and to this Shiel Sexton project team for a job well done.
