Exciting news is in the air in Indianapolis, as Governor Holcomb recently announced the latest appointments to the Indiana Government’s boards and commissions. Among the newest public service members is Shiel Sexton President/CEO, Mike Dilts, who will serve on the Governor’s Residence Commission.

According to Indiana Government website, the Governor’s Residence Commission is charged with the upkeep and care for the Governor’s mansion at 4750 N. Meridian Street, just north of downtown Indianapolis. The traditional English Tudor-style estate, erected in 1928, was acquired by the State of Indiana in 1973. The Governor’s Residence Commission has guided the home through $800,000 in renovations over the past 44 years.

“It’s an honor to be selected by the governor to serve on this commission,” Dilts says of the role, “Indiana is one of only a handful of states that has a designated Governor’s Residence and Retreat House, located in one of the state parks. Preserving and perpetuating these structures is also preserving our history, and I look forward to playing a part in this.”

Dilts is proud to use his construction background to give back to the State of Indiana for the next four years. Congratulations on your appointment, Mike!
