Shiel Sexton begins construction this month on Gateway Center; a new 540,000 SF apartment complex located in Durham, NC. Gateway Center is Shiel Sexton’s fourth multi-family residential project for luxury apartment developer, Woodfield Investments.
The 305-unit complex is comprised of five levels, and the wood-frame building will wrap seven levels of precast parking.
The four-acre housing complex represents the first phase of a 5-story, 305-unit master development plan at the old Hendricks Auto Mall site in downtown Durham. The project also includes a 409-car parking structure and great living amenities. The Gateway Center site is located just two blocks from the Durham Bulls baseball stadium and nestled next to the Durham Freeway, a major gateway into downtown. Construction is scheduled to wrap up by the end of 2017.
