Submitted By: Frank Duck, Sr. Project ManagerShiel Sexton is constructing the Carmel Regional Performing Arts Center with the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM). Using BIM 3-D data to look at the inner structural and mechanical systems within a structure (pipes, duct work, steel beams, plumbing, fire protection, etc.) we are able to identify physical clashes prior to any work being performed, saving thousands of dollars in material waste, potential rework claims, and schedule delays.
